Built-In Motor Turrets allow heat generation and vibration to be kept to a minimum. Transmission efficiency is improved. Cutting performance, speed, and precision are also significantly increased.
Octagonal Ram Contruction, Mori Seiki's original technology, is a fundamental improvement on the weaknesses of conventional moving structures. With the symmetry of an octagonal shape, thermal displacement is controlled and stable straightness is ensured even at high speeds.

Mori Seiki Multi Axis Lathes

Forget about repeated set-up. With Mori Seiki multi-axis turning machines, you get the job done on one machine – start to finish. The NZ Series of multi-axis machines for mass production is equipped with up to 3 turrets, all of them BMT. And since the 3 turrets can hold a total of 48 tools (16 tools per turret), productivity is greatly increased.

Mori Seiki's NZ Series

The Y-axis function and the BMT (Built-in Motor Turret) is used for all turrets. The Turret 2 Y-axis structure uses Mori Seiki's original technology, the ORC (Octagonal Ram Construction), which controls thermal displacement, improves chip disposal and allows the axis to be guided while saving space.

The NZ Series offers not only turning but also excellent milling with Y-axis. With the largest Y-axis travel in its class, it achieves high-precision, high-efficiency machining. This multi-axis turning center is ideal for process integration of mass-production workpieces.
