The Most Advanced High-Speed Vertical Machining Center Available.

High Rigidity is achieved by using slideways for all axes resulting in improved vibration damping performance. It also offers longer tool life and capabilities for heavy-duty cutting.
Measures Against Thermal Displacement are obtained by using a spindle in which air and cooling oil pipes are arranged symmetrically relative to the center of the spindle. This minimizes thermal displacement in the spindle by dispersing heat evenly.

:: NVX Vertical Machining Centers

Mori Seiki machining centers lead metalcutting industry in terms of both technology and original know-how. High-performance machining centers developed by concentrating the Mori Seiki wealth of knowledge and technological style.

Mori Seiki's NVX Series

The NVX5000 Series of vertical machining centers, which has evolved from the NV5000 Series as a result of a full model change, is Mori Seiki's second series launched as the X-class. The NVX Series provides unparalleled high-speed, high precision machining by taking comprehensive measures against thermal displacement, including Mori Seiki's new and original coolant circulation technology and the heat-symmetrical structure that evenly disperses heat in the spindle.
By using slideways for all axes, the NVX Series is designed to offer improved vibration damping preformance and rigidity, as well as longer tool life and capabilities for heavy-duty cutting. Additionally, it achieves a rapid traverse rate of 30 m/min in all axes.
The NVX Series uses a spindle in which air and cooling oil pipes are arranged symmetrically, relative to the center of the spindle. The heat-symmertical structure minimizes thermal displacement in the spindle by dispersing heat evenly. In addition, coolant circulation inside castings (a bed and column), which is available as an option, allows the machine to achieve control over thermal displacement caused by cutting heat and changes in the ambient temperature.
Three variations, for different workpiece sizes, are available for the NVX5000 Series: the NVX5060 (X-axis stroke: 600 mm), NVX5080 (800 mm), and NVX5100 (1,050 mm). These are all available with either 40 or 50 taper spindles to meet customers different needs.
